Urban camping?………..what a new phenomenon?
Not really…..that was our special welcoming while moving back to Prague. We had a small issue about the electricity in our flat so we stayed out of it for one week.
You know what I have learned form this lecture?
- everything in our home is running on the electricity – so no cooking, no vacum-cleaning, no charging phone, laptop, no hairdryer, nothing……just darkness
- It gave me time to interact with neighbours – while doing fast food (cooking based on hot water) – we have very lovely neighbours, they accepted me with my fast teapot 🙂 / kus-kus and noodles are good and fast dinner
- darkness and lack of electricity actually makes you to realise when the day is over and is good time to go to bed, no lights are on, no reading of books, computing only until the batteries dies. Good for my eyes.
- The romantic moments appeared. We were using candles and spending much more time just talking, cuddling with each other and telling stories to our kids…..again no light means no reading books
What to have ready at home for this moments? Lot of candles, lighter, matches, lovely neighbours :),
So in the end it was not bad at all…………….temporary black outs are beneficial for our own health.
